The ‘flow’ is defined by Castells as programmable and repetitive sequences of exchange and interaction between agents in the economic, politic and symbolic structures of the society; the dominant social practices are seen as social practices embedded in the dominant social structures; the dominant social structures are the organizations and institutions playing a strategic part in changing the social practices and the social consciousness.
